Al Ghina

Al Ghina was established in 2001 in Beirut to provide support to orphans, widows, and other vulnerable communities. Under the broad headline of family sponsorships, they intervene through financial, medical, educational, developmental, social, in-kind aid, and rehabilitation.

  • Akkar Relief Fund

    A fundraising campaign to support people affected by the fuel tank explosion in the Akkar region of northern Lebanon in August 2021.

  • Annual winter campaign

    The distribution of blankets, quilts, fuel, heating fans, and thermal floor mats to help prepare vulnerable families for winter.

  • I give...

    A crowdfunding initiative encouraging people to make donations in memory of a loved one. Funds collected are used to provide hot meals to orphans, children, widows, elderly people, and other vulnerable groups in impoverished neighbourhoods in Lebanon.

  • Lebanon relief

    Providing hot meals, food parcels, medicines, diapers, milk, clothes, and other necessities to vulnerable groups, such as orphans, widows, and impoverished families.

  • Renovation

    Repairing the homes of vulnerable families to make them more liveable. Al Ghina received funding from Impact Lebanon to restore buildings after the Beirut blast in 2020.

  • Seniors sponsorship

    A monthly payment to vulnerable elderly people to cover basic needs, including food, clothing, medicines, and equipment such as wheelchairs.

  • SMEs programme

    Supporting families with skills assessments and providing them with tools, locations, and inputs to start new businesses.

  • The orphans and widows housing

    A future plan to host women and children in a unique new campus featuring schools, training centres, medical facilities, retail, and small business units.

  • Women's empowerment

    Providing greater opportunities for vulnerable women through providing financial and in-kind assistance and education so they can improve living conditions for themselves and their families.
