Working together to achieve more

"Advancing Arab Philanthropic Partnerships and Collaboratives" was a workshop at the 2023 Arab Foundations Forum Annual Meeting in Cairo.

Organised in collaboration with the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development (SFSD) and the Saleh Abdullah Kamel Humanitarian Foundation (SAKHF), the workshop aimed to reinforce philanthropic collaborations and partnerships.

More than 40 organisations participated in the workshop, facilitating the exchange of valuable insights on philanthropic partnership practices. The event showcased seven case studies highlighting philanthropic organisation and social investment partnership models, offering participants practical examples for inspiration.

Following the workshop, participants actively identified key initiatives and opportunities within the philanthropic ecosystem, leading to the development of various ideas and next steps to strengthen partnerships in Arab philanthropy.

In continuation of the workshop's impact, a panel of specialists from diverse sectors of Arab philanthropy is scheduled to convene on January 31.

This panel will discuss crucial takeaways and recommendations, exploring topics such as the role of networking platforms, data and research, governance frameworks for partnerships, and knowledge co-creation and learning. The objective of this reflective session is to advance discussions on Arab philanthropy and promote ongoing collaboration for meaningful impact.
