Building stronger philanthropy support ecosystems

Lessons from India and Brazil

Join WINGS and partners for part three of its Transformation Dialogue Series, a conversation-driven initiative seeking to harnesses the power of storytelling to shift mindsets and inspire action in philanthropy.

This session will focus on developing stronger philanthropy ecosystems and is a call for foundations to invest in the organisations, networks, and infrastructure that enable local philanthropy to thrive.

Moderated by Ina Breuer, Executive Director, NEID Global, this cross-continental conversation will explore how foundations can shift from intent to action, adopting an ‘enabler’ mindset and making sustained, collective investments in philanthropy support ecosystems.

Reasons to join include:

• Understand why investing in philanthropy support ecosystems is urgent amid aid cuts, shrinking civic spaces, and interconnected crises.
• Learn practical strategies foundations are using to strengthen local philanthropy ecosystems.
• Gain insights into how foundations are transforming their internal cultures, leadership, and decision-making to enable ecosystem-level change.
• Connect with peers across continents to share challenges, lessons, and opportunities for field-level transformation.

The event is part of WINGS' Philanthropy Transformation Initiative’s Stories of Transformation, a series exploring critical themes such as practising trust, strengthening philanthropy support ecosystems, and adopting a long-term lens in philanthropy.
