This session brought to you by WINGS will spotlight the transformation journeys of two foundations who are re-shaping their their grantmaking by embracing core, flexible, long-term support that centres local actors while also supporting the growth of philanthropy support ecosystems.

Focus Central America (FCA) responds to the root causes of forced migration by supporting grassroots organisations through trust-based, relationship-driven funding and collaborating with other donors to foster peer learning and collective action in the region.

While Oak Foundation is supporting the long-term resilience of its grantee partners by providing flexible core funding and tailored organisational development support. It also advances field-level change by promoting real-cost funding and investing in local intermediaries to strengthen local philanthropy support ecosystems.
