India Philanthropy Forum

India for the World, the World for India

Dasra will be holding the India Philanthropy Forum (IPF) on the side-lines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to convene philanthropists, foundation leaders, social entrepreneurs, academics, NGO heads, and global development experts to shape a shared vision for inclusive and lasting impact.  

The forum aims to amplify innovative ideas for the future of India, showcasing how philanthropy can be a catalyst for inclusive development, social innovation, and collaboration. It will spotlight transformative approaches to philanthropy – elevating India’s growing role as a global hub for social innovation, amplifying grassroots leadership, and exploring how Indian and South Asian diaspora can strengthen community resilience locally while building bridges globally.

The themes across the sessions will include:    

  • ​Rethinking philanthropy’s role in shaping India@2047 through inclusive and resilient systems

  • ​The growing influence of women in philanthropy and gender-intentional giving  

  • ​Centering indigenous knowledge and frontline leadership in climate action 

  • ​Strengthening India’s mental health ecosystem through intergenerational philanthropy 

  • ​Building an enabling environment for effective and scalable giving 

  • ​Catalysing inclusive and ethical social innovation through data, tech, and AI
