Ajyal Foundation

Founded in 2019, the Ajyal Foundation for Education works to improve access to quality, research-informed education and mental health support for disadvantaged communities, with a particular focus on Palestinians and refugees. The foundation aim to enhance educational environments, promote early childhood education, support children with disabilities, and encourage innovation, gender equity, and access to arts and culture within educational settings.

Impact

Since October 2023, the Ajyal Foundation has:
  • Supported 30,000 children and families in Gaza through emergency interventions
  • Provided 21,500 meals to displaced children and their families in Gaza
  • Provided psychological support to 25 schools and sheltering areas in Gaza

  • Educate for Life Programme

    This programme aims to improve children’s academic outcomes and enhance their personal development. 

  • Gaza

    The Foundation is supporting displaced children in Gaza through the provision of urgent essentials, including food, clothes, hygiene kits, as well as psychosocial support and trauma-informed education.

    The foundation is also patnering with Palestinian universities to support Gazan students in higher education.

  • Research programme

    Ajyal Foundation aims to identify the underlying factors affecting children’s mental health, educational achievements, and overall education experience through academic research and partnerships with universities and research institutions.
