Al Nahda

Alnahda is a Saudi nonprofit organisation established in 1962 that works to empower women socially and economically through targeted development programmes. Its initiatives focus on expanding women’s participation in society, supporting their access to leadership roles, and promoting an environment that upholds their dignity and capabilities. Alnahda’s work spans areas such as financial and social support, education, capacity building, research, and advocacy.

Programmes

  • Advocacy Programme

    Advocacy-based initiatives include sharing information with other stakeholders, delivering awareness-based campaigns, participating in national committees and discussions, engaging in international forums and conventions, and lobbying directly with decision-makers.

  • Alnahda Research Programme

    The Programme, established in 2017, aims to support Alnahda programmes to achieve their desired impact and improve the design of policies and programs that target women, by producing research, pursuing research collaborations, and knowledge sharing.

  • Capacity Development Programme

    The Programme includes activities, campaigns, and projects designed to raise public awareness about women's rights.

  • Career Education Programme

    The Programme offers capacity-building initiatives tailored to the specific needs of youth aged 15 to 24 from low socioeconomic backgrounds. These projects aim to equip participants with the skills and confidence needed to make informed decisions and take active roles in shaping their own lives and contributing to their communities.

  • Financial and Social Support Programme

    The Programme focuses on helping women-led households from low socio-economic backgrounds, particularly those who are divorced, widowed, or abandoned, overcome poverty. The Programme provides both financial aid and tailored social support.
