About the philanthropist
Khalid Rashid Al Zayani is honorary chairman of the family firm, Al Zayani Investments, which operates businesses across Bahrain. He also serves as chairman of Al Baraka Islamic Bank. In 2009, Mr Al Zayani founded the Rashid Al Zayani Charity Foundation, named after his father, to formalize the family’s giving. The foundation funds projects across a range of sectors, including education, healthcare, child welfare, infrastructure development, and religious institutions. Mr Al Zayani serves as the foundation’s chairman, along with several other board memberships, including honorary chairman of the Bahrain Voluntary Work Society.
